Mode Sensors has been awarded NOK 700,000 in funding from Regionalt Forskningsfond Trøndelag (RFF) to clinically validate and optimize our Re:Balans wearable for hydration monitoring. In collaboration with St. Olavs Hospital, the project will test Re:Balans’ algorithm against current hydration assessment methods.
The goal is to improve detection of dehydration in elderly patients — who are especially at risk — through real-time, wearable monitoring.“Support from RFF Trøndelag is key to advancing our mission,” said CEO Gøran van den Burgt. “Re:Balans has the potential to replace slow, manual methods with continuous, accurate insights.”The project runs through mid-2026 and aims to improve both clinical outcomes and healthcare efficiency.
Mode Sensors acknowledges RFF Trøndelag’s crucial role in driving regional health innovation.
